every traveller no matter where they are from or where they are going or how long they intend to be there needs at least 6 months on a passport.

get your new one now - think the previous respondent meant 4-5 days

We don't think that will be a problem. Some governments require 6 months validity... some require 3 months... some do not have a time requirement as long as the passport is valid. The Irish Embassy in the US doesn't mention a time requirement. Here is their site: http://www.irelandemb.org/howto.html For more information check with the Embassy of Ireland or a consulate in the UK.

it somewhat is in all probability terrific purely to ring the airport and look at. even however Northern eire is formally British, with each and all the variations in secure practices these days i'm tremendously specific you will prefer a valid passport to go away England. I stay there for years. An occasion of it somewhat is....i'm New Zealander now residing in New Zealand with a clean Zealand passport and that i will go and stay in Aussie any time I stay yet I continuously could desire to coach a modern-day NZ passport as I enter. Ring the airport. there isn't something worse than going all how on your guy or woman airport and the day and lossing the whole flight.

Yes you can fly to Ireland, but you will not be able to get back into the US with that passport when it expires. Check out this web site for all of the rules and questions:

I don't know for sure, but if you check with the Irish Embassy that will help. Both being EU countries might make that requirement a little different. Also depends how long you'll be there for?

You need to apply for a new passport now and have it expedited by using one of the many available internet companies. If you just have it expedited through your local post office, it can take about 45 days or so. So get started tomorrow.
