I am leaving to go on a trip in about 2 weeks. I haven't received my passport yet. The rep. on the phone said that if I do not get it in another week they'd put a rush on it. Does this mean the same thing as expedite? Is this really going to get it to me in time!!!? I've spent alot of money for this damn trip. Anyone had similar experiences?

I already tried online tracking. It didn't work. When I talked to the rep. earlier (when he told me all this), he said it was in the works.

THere is a link on the US passport's web site where you can track your passport. It may be better to use that than trying to get an answer on the phone. Just click on this link: https://passportstatus.state.gov/opss/OPSS_Status_i.asp

Oh yeah!! I am right there with you. I have been on hold for over an hour now and still noone has answered to help me out. I have tried everything and I expedited mine on the 1st and they still haven't even processed the expedite as of yet. Last I knew, they were going to put it on "Urgent Expedite" I would suggest that you call them back and tell them to expedite it now.... I also contacted my State Senators office and they said that they can help. I like you have spent lots of money for this trip and applied a while back for my passport. I don't know much more that we can do. I feel more comfortable now having my State Senator involved.

It's hard to answer your question because you don't say what country you're from. The Internet is a worldwide forum, so not everyone gets their passports from the same government.
