I am learning both and I would say that Japanese is easier to speak but the kana and kanji is kind of challenging...I was wondering what other people thought.

Like interesting but free or cheap, I think that free things usaully turn out to be cooler and you can experience the culture more.

I am planning my first trip to Europe/Paris and I want to visit the Louvre of course and also the Eiffel Tower, can you suggest some other must sees or activties that aren't necessarily a traditional tourist hot spot. Also do what is the safest way to travel w/ money. Should I get my money converted to Euros or use Traveler's Checks. Thanks

I'll spend two weeks in Paris with my son, who is 11 years old. He's very childish and baby-like; he loves sports, mainly football. I like art, architecture, music and literature. It's our first time there, so I'd like to find out which places are worth visiting for both of us. I don't want him to get bored or too tired and I can't spend more than €500 for free time. Any suggestions?

I also heard that there was a country called Georgia in Eastern Europe that is named after our President because they are so grateful to him? Is that true?

Hi. I'm going to Paris in early September. Can anyone recommend a safe and frugal way to stay for a week? In a good neighborhood.

I'm hoping not to spend $1000 on hotels.

Thanks

Hello,

I am doing a research about Paris and its arrondissements. I need to find any alternative names they may have.
I read in Wikipedia that "Municipal arrondissements do not have names, they have only numbers (except in Paris where they also have names, but nobody use those names, not even the Paris administration)"

Can anyone tell me PLEASE what those names are, or where could I find them!?!?

Merci beacoup!

Last week I went to Paris and I as walking in the Jardin des Tuileries (near the Musee du Louvree), the tour suddenly appeared in my visual field. But didnt look upright, I tried to follow its axis and it was inclined as well.

I walked around its base and the pillars dont have any crack, but from the distance it does look like leaning!

Have you seen it or ever heard about it as to any reason, or is it just a building defect?

Where can I find the high school calendar in France for 2006-7?
I thought since the national government controls the lycees (high schools) the calendar would be set nationally and is probably already done. Does anyone know where I can find that information, or any information on schooling in France? I will be teaching english at one next year.
