Hello everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone could suggest the best way to get from Paris to Cannes. Last time I was in Europe I took the train everywhere; however, I?ve never actually taken one from Paris to Cannes. I wanted to find out how long it takes by train and what is the ticket price for first class. Also, would it be better to just fly from Paris to Nice and take the train to Cannes from there?

Thanks a lot,

You hear on the news about how much french people hate immigrant muslims and even french muslims. Is that true? Would I be discriminated against in France for being a muslim?

All you know about France is Paris... aaaah Paris !... Tour Effel, Louvres, Champs Elysées etc...
But you know that Paris is the city the most visited in the world, and parisians don't mind if you are american, japoneese, russian, or African.. You are a tourist that's all.
Just know that we remember you loose a lot of soldiers during 2nd world war to free our country ok ? And visit the SO of France near Spain.. it's wonderful you'll see..

I have what looks like a wine bottle cork-sized seal made out of lead. It has a stamp on both flat sides. On one side it reads ADMINISTRATION DES DOUANES (CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION) and ORD. DU 8 JANVIER 1817 (??? on January 8 1817) On the opposite side it has a crest / shield with 3 fleur de lis and the words: ?????? DE PARIS (?????? of/from Paris)
1. What does the abbreviation ORD. mean?
2. What could this item be? It really looks to be some kind of seal that is round like a cork in a wine bottle, but is very short...partly from the press of the stamp on both flat sides.
The 6 letter word that I cannot quite make out looks like: PEREA?
The first letter may not be a P and the 2nd E may not be an E.
The last letter is not legible. Thanks for your help!

I read in Fodor's France 2006 edition that it costs around $20 to develop a single roll of camera film. Is this true? That seems really expensive to me

I want to go away with my partner for few days and was thinking about going camping in France for a change. We would ideally like a site close to a beach, in the north so that it's not to far to travel to from the UK.
