I am going to the Christmas market in Strasbourg in December and was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for getting the best out of it?
I've been to Strasbourg before but never to the market.

Can you suggest a comfortable hotel in Amiens, France? I like a big breakfast, but nothing too expensive please - there are six in the family staying a couple of nights in November. Near the train station would be a bonus; easy parking would be good too. Thanks.

Hello! I'm an Aussie businessman who travels quite often. I've stayed in France six times in the past two years. I noticed that most, if not all, Frenchies smell awful--like rotten cheese. I was wondering if anybody knew why don't they bathe themselves?

The mate with the best explanation gets 10 points. Cheers!

Hiya. I'm thinking about taking my boyfriend to France for the day (and night, possibly), by ferry. It would only be a short trip.

Would it be best to get a train (from Nottingham) to Dover but then we'd have to get our own transport to Paris, OR go on a coach trip? I'm trying to save up but I'd like to know the cheapest and easiest option!

Does anyone know roughly how long it would take on a coach trip to get to Paris itself?

And lastly, do you need a passport to get there by ferry? I have one, but my boyfriend doesn't.

Sorry for all the questions! Lol. Hope you can help! Thanks in advance xxx

:o)

1: Why is french such an adoooringly, charming and romanting language? Hearing it always makes me feel goood!
2: Why do french girls dress so bad and use too much perfume?
3: Why can you never trust a french man?
4: And finally: why do everybody in France drive like they haven't got a drivers licence....?

I'm a 17yr old girl and am taking a trip to France(Paris) alongside my Dad and Step-Mom (going to the Alliance Francaise to learn French Language) and I was wanting to know what I can do to make myself appear less like a tourist/avoid pickpockets/dress like a French teen etc.

A co-worker just alarmed me by claiming the toll roads accept exact change only. Is this correct? Or possibly they have an "automatic" exact-change only lane like Spain?

Our itenerary requires us to jump in the car and drive right upon our arrival at the airport from the US, and it will be hard to have small change on hand, except for 20s and 50s!

I know it will be expensive, after the first day we will hardly drive at all and stick to the N-routes. Don't want it to be even more expensive then it has to be!

I will be traveling to France on business in Dec for the first time. I don't drink for personal / religious reasons. Is it possible the company might send me wine as a gift, welcome? Is it rude to say I don't drink?

Or at a restaruant, what is the best way to graciously decline?

The last thing I want to do is offend and be a "stupid American"

First off, I'm 13.
My school is offering a trip this summer for its gifted students to go to France and Spain for 10 days.

Like most people, my family is not rich, and the trip costs around $2800. (We can also save a couple hundred if we make a deposit of $95 by the 31st)

I've alredy asked my mom, and she said it was fine as long as I could convince my dad. What should I do?!?

I really want to go (a ton of my friends are, and I LOVE France) and my dad is rather shrewd with his money.
Thanks!

A chateau in France has been purchased by a Buddhist community. It may have belonged to my ancestors before they moved to England with Duke William the conqueror.
