I suggest you to ask this question on Yahoo France, but instead of using "Brittany", write "Bretagne" people might not understand Brittany. I am sure you will find English speaking people in this area.

Hi, I actually habit proche Derval en loire Atlantique, around here about 1 in 5 are Brits..
North of cote d'Amour is almost 50% there are less going to roscoff but still quite a few. The french now are resisting putting out a census as the EU have said that a question is to be put on it "what language is spoken at home". They will not do it so they have "postponed" the census to preclude the obvious answer of many.
It is calculated that there may be as many as 2 million FAMILIES of UK extraction in France, almost 4% of the population!!!

I know of a few small villages near the beach that are full of english. check my source for info.
