ok, I'm taking a gap year and I want to move to France for a year for a different experience and a different outlook on life. I need help as I pretty much don't speak any french (but all I learnt in high school). Are there any schemes to help people like me or any help for me?

I am thinking of going to work in France for 6 months as I am learning the language. Is it hard to get temporary work over there. What are the best sort of jobs to apply for?

Hi,

I have a visa electron (issued by Banco Halifax Hispana) and I am hoping to be able to use it on our drive home through France. It has no logos on the back except the Spanish ServiRed one.

Does anyone know if this card will work in shops or ATMs? I imagined that as both countries have the Euro, all would be fine and dandy but apparently this may not be the case?
