Australia is quite popular in France. Far away country, so still a bit mysterious.
Plus, you have a reputation of 'cool' people, like the turtles in Finding Nemo.
And finally, a country where Kidman and Minogue come from can't really bad. :)

Same as "Do blacks get along with whites?" The answer is....some do..some don't. It's an individual thing.
