Does anyone have suggestions about what to do in Bordeaux, France (besides the obvious wine tasting)? Are there things nearby that I should see? I'm going the last week in October. merci!

We're playing at the end of this month, and we were going to drive but someone told me the other day that you need 3 years driving experience to drive on the continent. Any way we can get round this or would they just stop us when our passports get checked? Does anyone know of a good alternative, we get about 5oo quid expenses so flying at this point is a no. xx

My boyfriend is an exchange student in France. I want to send this message to his host family:

Greetings from Japan. I hope you all enjoy you time together. Mr. and Mrs. Delord, thank you for caring for Allan in these months and introducing the French culture to him. He's so happy to be there.

My BFF is going to France with her family for two months and I wanted to get something as a going away present for her two year old son. I was trying to think of a kitchy saying tshirt or something that is hip in France. Nothing that screams "I'm an American hear me roar" like tourists getting the UK flag hats when visiting England.....

I'm going on vacation to Paris France. And I want to know if the French are clean like us Americans.
Do they have proper toilets?

And how do I say.'Where is the rest room' in France language? Is it the same as the American?

I'm a New Zealander with indefinite leave to remain in the UK. I'd like to live in the south of France initially, and learn the language fluently - spoken and written. Legal-wise, is this achieveable? (especially as I need to work) Ideally I'd like to work for an ex-pat Brit (speak English), but study and live with French-speakers. Also, where would anyone suggest going to study?

Well, I think i might get shot for asking this, but I think it is quite true. They refuse to speak English to foreigners , laugh at others who attempt to speak French, and their cities are just so not tourist friendly.

What do you expect? Not everyone can speak French, u know. But at least they like your country enough to visit. So for the very least, be nice to them ok....
