Hello,Cannes, France is really a very beautiful area. I would suggest that you do some research and I have enclosed some information for you.The resort town of Cannes is noted for its many film festivals during the year and a large number of famous people can always been seen hurrying into the Palais Du Festival building.
The beach and boardwalk from the festival building are interesting and are full of all international people.The very very rich walk the promanade and shop in the exclusive shops on the other side of the boardwalk.No matter where you travel in the area you can see the Mediterranean Sea.You can take a quick drive to the casinos of Monte Carlo or visit the quaint town of Nice for some the best food on the continent.There are antique and flea markets on specific days.It is a town where no one cares whether you are an American or a German.Definitely worth a look.

What you mean is "CANNES" .
The city lies on the Cote 'd Azur, a 30 minutes drive from Nice.
It has a large Promenade (beachfront) the so called Croisette.
You can see famous and not so famous people strolling around,
enjoying the hot climate in summer and printemps (springtime).
You could visit the surrounding are of GRASSE, famous for its
perfume making facilities.
There are numerous activities in the area, depending on what you
look for.
CANNES is classified as an expensive city, being an attraction for the well to do.
CANNES is also known for the annual film festival, a good time to
see some celebrities.
CANNES is empty in the winter months where people prefer the
warmer climate of MARBELLA in Spain.

There is a girls college right across from the beach. Be there around 1PM when they come out to lay topless on the beach.

Get a suntan and go see the ti tties at the beach. Other than that it is a pretty worthless stop.
