My BFF is going to France with her family for two months and I wanted to get something as a going away present for her two year old son. I was trying to think of a kitchy saying tshirt or something that is hip in France. Nothing that screams "I'm an American hear me roar" like tourists getting the UK flag hats when visiting England.....

A toy saying basic sentences in French. My daughter has a phone saying numbers when you press on it and saying "Hello" when you pickup and "Goodbye" when you hang up.

I don't think a 2 year old will realise that much where he is !
As long he is always with his parents, he will be happy to receive a nice present from you ! whatever it is !
A nice tshirt with a peaceful motto (i.e unity for all countries around the world) would be a good idea !

How about an anti as hole innoculation. If you don't get him one the French attitude will make him into a terd for the rest of his life!
