anyone have the inside dope on where to stay in lyon? (it's an autumn trip if that matters)?

The Lyon shopping is in the peninsula between the rivers and it is quite a nice area (1st and 2nd quartiers). The old lyon has a lot of Bars and restaurants but I believe it is a bit pricy. You can stay near part dieu (3rd quarter) which is near the train station and catch a metro into town very easily. I would stay outside of Lyon however unless you have a car.

i think u should stay on the costal part of lyon.
