I'm amazed that such gorgeous girl's would find the time to even "chat" or "answer" answer's, (all the gorgeous girls I know have lots of better things to do).

why post it here? You will obviously get 1-2 reactions,(YOUR HOT! or YOUR HOT!).

Would this be considered "vanity"?

(I'm really not trying to be rude! It is just something I have noticed in answers turkey. Sorry if I offend someone.;-)

Our forests are being burnt down. Every day new fires are set before the previous ones get controlled. From Central - South Italy to all Greece and Turkey the disaster is unbelievable. We all know that the "land mafia" is behind many of the arsons, but what about arsons on wild mountains with no financial interest? Anything else we might be suspicious of?

I'm going for a week to Bodrum on Aug6th and will be buying all food (it's self catered) + need money for excursions / shopping / etc.

If I allow £25 per day will that be enough / too much?
I'm not sure of prices in Turkey.

Also some places online suggest 50p = a million New turkish lira and other sites suggest a more even exchange rate, I'm very confused!

Help me to find my way?

I'm new in this section. I was on Yahoo Answers for a while and I have just noticed that there was a Turkey section.
So Hi to everyone and I'm asking my first question:

Why are there so many provocative questions and answers in this section? I have clicked on the link where it says Turkey and I found myself like: "Armenian Genocide Is A Lie!" , "You're a Provocateur"! Oh my God What the hell is going on to those people these days?

And also my other question is a bit personal:
This is my first year in Turkey. I grew up in the United Kingdom and after I have graduated from High School (Baccalaureate Diploma at language) I have moved to Istanbul with my parents. Now I don't know Turkey much, except for the places I've visit in the summer before. I don't know what to do and where to start to my life here. I'm home all the day can't find anything to do. (I don't mean Turkey is boring Just I don't know how to have fun)

I've learned english at school, and also when I travelled several times in UK.
I speak also a correct spanish ( school and travels in spanish speaking countries)
And of course I speak french because I grew up in France, and turkish because I am a Turk.
The language I know the best is not turkish, in fact it's french ( yes I know that can seem to be a little weird )

I've noticed that some of you have a perfect english ( especially Anlarm,Ipek,Bird, BosphorousBabe , Earthling...)
Many people who live abroad, as me, can speak even better a foreign language than their original language...

I've read in the newspaper today that, according to a poll made in England, people think women shouldn't wear bikinis after the age 48. I thought this interesting. What's the latest bikini-wearing age for Turkish women, do you think?

I wish to raise two points:

i) Whereas 50% of the 42,533,041 registered voters in Turkey were women, less than 10% of the deputies will be females (50/550).

ii) This will be the highest percentage in the history of the Turkish republic.

Your thoughts on this?

Don't fret. Not even Tayyip will be able to change our lifestyles overnight. We will tell him to take his "valide", get on his son's ship and leave, if necessary.

PS. You can find your headsarves in Huzur Giyim. I am thinking about a franchiser... OK OK, I'm joking. Keep your chins up.

When I went voting, I saw women covered in black clothes... in this heat.

My belief is that, these women are covered by force by their fathers and husbands, and these same women, that have to come out in this sweltering heat in those tents, see me and my like as... well... bad women.

Strangely, there are certain Americans and Europeans who see these women's dresses as a "democratic right". So, the question is:

Who thinks that çarşaf/chador/black tents are democratic rights of a woman (please think about the circumstances as well as the "principle") and why? No foul language, please, I want honest opinions.
