I'm amazed that such gorgeous girl's would find the time to even "chat" or "answer" answer's, (all the gorgeous girls I know have lots of better things to do).
why post it here? You will obviously get 1-2 reactions,(YOUR HOT! or YOUR HOT!).
Would this be considered "vanity"?
(I'm really not trying to be rude! It is just something I have noticed in answers turkey. Sorry if I offend someone.;-)

i have a Yahoo! 360 page and im using my profile picture as my avatar. I don't see anything vain about it. As for hot girls having better things to do, beautiful people are human, too. Just for the record, this is my real picture. And no, I don't think I'm vain for using my real picture instead of an avatar. I am not looking for approval or attention. I just like this picture better than a little cartoon. Is that ok?

As I have a personal experience about this, I can assure you that I' m talking live through messanger with Turkish girls who have posted their real picture in their avatar, and not only they are as beautiful as they are depicted in their picture, but also they have a very high level of education and in addition a personal life and many interests. As for the Greek section, Leonarda is as beautiful as she shows in her picture, and she's very educated as well.
Why then in Q/A ? Because one can spend part of his time communicating with people all over the world, exchange ideas and opinions, and make new friendships.
And an additional comment: Girls always use their real picture, while several men use fake ones, as you can see completely different persons in their avatar ever now and then (I guess they use unknown models' photos).

I had my own picture here so that the people in our section knows who they are talking to- since we also have a friendship among us . I believe the reason is the same for my other friends
We are not "gorgeous girls", just some ordinary Turkish women who have opinions and knowledge to share.
I have to object to airpole since I really don't know what strict structure or finger pointing he is talking about. Our pictures are not nude for God's sake!
This is me and my name is Ä°pek, never been finger pointed or bothered for the last one and a half years because I have my own picture.
Could I satisfy your curiosity?

I dont want to interfere in the turkish section, but as i saw starred the question, and it is something which doesnt concern Turkey, i ll reply.
Personally,i wouldnt like to put my own picture(i am greek)because i dont need to show to anyone if i am beautiful or not, i dont need to date anyone, or to let the unknown people know how i am.Those who know me, know my appearence,i keep it for my own people.
On my page i had my picture, and the result was to be always disturbed by unknown men, which made me really crazy sometimes...
So, i took it out.
But there is one thing here, much more serious.The different clones..In this program, there are haters, who can copy pictures, and do whatever they want with them.Also yahoo says it that in order to keep your privacy, and not to find yourself in front of bad surprises,you dont have to post pictures in the site.You never know who is bejhind a pc, and what he can do..
The same with msn..I dont speak with anyone, i especially speak with the persons of the greek section,and some of the italian..Not that i avoided the persons of the turkish one, but...the girls of the turkish section usually avoided to answer even an email of mine,, immagine to speak to me.except of one that i havent seen her here for a long time...
They prefere Dellarovere...hehehe...it is natural....
I say this since you posted the question saying about chat...
I dont care for the friendship of a woman or a relation with a man through internet, but...i m telling you, it depends on who you are always in order tomake the others speak to you...Thats all..(i speak generally ok?)

Dude, what you see on these pictures is NORMAL on our steets. We define gorgeous as something more. I wonder what your streets are like.

As long as the pictures are of them, they are not more vain than men who post their picture.
However, I find it difficult to believe that they are posting their own pictures, considering that the strict social status of Turkey or any other country for that matter, will make them finger-pointed by their immediate surroundings.
The other thing that you point out, that is peculiar that such beautyfull women have nothing better to do than "chat"
or "answer", isn't in woman's nature to do just that?
