I am a single mum and will soon be moving either back to the UK or to Holland, but I've yet to decide where. Does anyone know what it's like being a single mum in Amsterdam? Are there any State Schools which teach mainly in English??

I plan to go to the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam this year in November but don't want to go alone. Nobody I know wants to spend that much to go or can't so I'm looking for a travel buddy, maybe to get a better deal on hotels and travel. Also so I won't be so alone at such a confusing time.
