Yes, more or less. Postcode starting with 10 are in Amsterdam

There are 100000's every town in England has a different one. Just London alone has 1000's. Each town alone has a different post codes. Let alone city. Where i used to live my post code was SE18 but my friend lived in SE2 but yet were 10 minutes walking distance apart. And then on top of that each STREET has a different last 3/4 digit code.

Yes, usually the addresses in one neighbourhood have the same numbers, but different letters.
Website to find postcodes: www.postcode.nl
Just type in: Dam, Amsterdam and you get all the postcodes of the houses of the Dam in Amsterdam.
Other way round works also: type the postcode, and it gives you the address
