I don't hang with hookers or do drugs, and I still spend 6 weeks a year in Amsterdam. There's plenty to do, believe me.
The restaurant scene is great. Pick up an English-language restaurant guide, or just explore on your own.
The weather will probably be cold when you go in two weeks (though they've had a mild winter), but if you can, get to the Amsterdam Bos on the outskirts of town. It's a huge public park with great biking, wildlife, and a cute pancake house in the middle of the park.
Museums in Amsterdam are hard to beat. Go to some of the smaller ones as well as the big famous ones. "Ons Lieve Heer op Solder" for example, is really remarkable. (It's a hidden attic church.) You can see a list of museums with links at: http://www.amsterdammuseums.nl/.
Although it may seem cheesy and touristy, the boat/canal tours are a cheap, good way to see parts of Amsterdam you might not ordinarily see.
Have fun!

There is so much to do if you're not into tarts and weed. DO invest in the Time Out guide, you can get it cheap on amazon.
The Netherlands has a rich cultural history, and Amsterdam is good fun. It's a port city, and so has been influenced by the many travelling merchants landing there from all over the world.
My favourite things to do it Amsterdam are:
-Pedalos! Pay you fee and jump on. Pedalos can be dropped off at any hire point around the canal circuit.
-Van Gogh gallery/museum
-Rembrandt's House
-Amsterdam Dungeon (scary!!)
-Shopping!
-Take an out of town excursion to a cheese factory and clog factory
-Explore the city by bicycle - you can hire them for the day or by the hour.
Have fun!
Btw... I got off my face every day and got lost in the redlight district so if the activities above don't exist, it's not my fault.

there are plenty of things to do, take a boat ride on the canals, go to museums, to the theater and there are many clubs and bars, but if you like modern art and shows, go to the city called Rotterdam, you can take a train ride from the central station to the central station in Rotterdam, round trip ticket and you will have lots of fun there as well, don't get stuck just in Amsterdam, travel around by train, Holland is small so you can visit all kinds of citys and look around, people are very friendly and we all speak english here, explore my country, try our foods and travel as we do, rent a bike hahaha and take a train. Have fun

If you want clean wholesome fun go somewhere else. If you want drugs booze and women you're going to the right place.
The Dam is excellent, I've been a few times and recently just got back from a week there. The weed is fantastic.
There are plenty of museums and a zoo, the Heineken Experience is good, but to be honest people go there to smoke weed and look at the prozzies in the red light district.

They get high and sleep with hookers, apart from that not much else to do. Im a female and it was quite interesting the first time round but if you dont smoke, or aint horny there's not much else to do there. You might as well go stay in Rotterdam or something.
