Im looking to go to a sports bar with a few buddies to watch the leaf game tomorrow vs Tampa. Where is a good sports bar that is good for watching hockey games with some good food and prices. Near Etobicoke would be best.

I've lived in Toronto 10 years.

O.K. You've got a few main streets: Yonge, Spadina, Bathurst, King, Queen, etc.

So far, so good. King and Queen, sure, that's cute.

If you've got King and Queen parallel to each other, then why not a Prince, Princess, Jester, etc. also? That would be a lot more fun.

Still, bearable.

Then you get these really stupid names up in North York: Paul Markway, Red Robinway. There are what seem to be hundreds of streets named this way.

Why not Paul Mark Way? What is a Markway, exactly? What's a Robinway? How about Red Robin Way?

Perhaps the lamest street naming in Toronto goes to the small streets found around major intersections. So, around Bathurst and Finch, you've got Finchurst. Leslie and Don Mills, Les Mills. Are we that dumb? Is it that hard to find a name?

So, Toronto's got all these problems due to lack of creativity.

What's really bad is when you visit some of the other towns and cities in Ontario:

I don't have much money and I want to move to a nice city. I like NY but, i am told its really expensive. And i thought about LA but, i hear its dangerous so I was thinking about Toronto. Is it nice there? Do you know of any other places that i might be able to live in but, not a very generous budget?

I don't have work or a place in canada. I'm 18 and I have an aunt that lives in seattle so I figured I should change my residency to washington. My boyfriend lives up here in canada and when my 6 months are over I wanted to bring my car up here and come back over the border but I thought how am i going to prove im going back to the U.S.? I'm going to do schooling online, so I can't use school or work? Do you think I should get a letter from my aunt, but what would I state in it?

Please help.

I know that the US Congress approved of the time change for March 11th. I was wondering if Canada followed suit. Or will there be a one hour difference of time (in the same time zone) until April?

Seven 50-something "girlfriends" are looking for a pleasant B&B between Ottawa and Toronto. We'd like a 3 or 4 bedroom spot so that we'd be the only guests that weekend. It needs to have a sitting room where we can hangout, drink wine and gab. Ideally, the host/hostess would also be able to cook a pleasant dinner for us, or we would need to be within walking distance of a restaurant.

We'd like to keep the cost under $200.00 each for the weekend. Any suggestions?

I have a GED, no real work experience, little money.

I have a friend who offered that I could stay with her for a monthly rent which is fine with me. But that also requires I get a job somewhere, unless I can make enough money somehow from home (well, that is, there). Which, could be a possibility, as I do like to work with my hands and on various small projects.

Also, just to mention, she doesn't live too far from Toronto.

And all I have is a passport, right now. I'm not exactly sure what is required for me to stay with her, though. I know I would need a visa, but is there anything else? Or can I just get by with a passport and visa in my possession? Plus, the sooner, the better. If I could manage to get there in a few months, that'd be for the better.

Staying here, or in America in general, is not an option. I'm sick of it here.

Any suggestions, or possible exploitable loopholes? This is really important to me, for undisclosed reasons. Thank you for your time.

The only birth certificate I have is the one from the hospital where I was born and I'm leaving for spring break tomorrow so I don't have time to order a certified copy. My friend just got back from Canada and he said all he needed to get across was a driver's liscence and they didnt even ask for his birth certificate. Is there any way they will let me across? Or should I not even waste my time driving a long ways to get turned down?
