My wife and toddler and I will be flying to Nova Scotia (from BC) in September for two weeks of road tripping. We usually avoid cheeze and tourist traps, and love the outdoors. Can anyone recommend great places to visit, and especially modestly priced child friendly accommodations (we're hoping to find self-contained cabins/motels en route). Thanks!

are US border agents going to prevent me from immigrating to Canada if I have financial obligations in the US such as credit card debt? I already have proper Canadian immigration papers. I will continue to pay down my US debt from Canada but I am just wondering if there have been cases where Americans were prevented from crossing because of debt.
