I'm gonna say no. I don't understand why a child would need any additional forms of ID, considering that you would have to be able to sign your name on a state ID. You do need to provide some kind of proof that he is your child, so a birth certificate will work. I know this because I went to Canada with my sister when I was 13 and we got in trouble for leaving the country without parent permission.
Seriously though, if a customs officer needs to interrogate a child, then our country needs help!

I lived in California after I had my first baby and that i filled out each of the paper paintings earlier leaving the clinical institution. They instructed me 2 weeks from then i'd be contacted. about 10 days after I had my daughter, they said as and that i set up and appointment to signal and recieve the start cetificate. i imagine I paid $40 money yet I actually were given an more desirable reproduction for possibility-free preserving. you would possibly want to contact your clinical institution to work out the position they despatched your ideas or the neasest start certificate and passport workplace. best of success

I believe you will only need his Birth Certificate. However, I would get him a passport at the nearest post office if I were you. You never now when you'll need one anyway!

I think a birth certificate itself will be sufficient but you can never have too much.
I'd suggest investing in a passport sometime this year though for your entire family. They will be required by 2007.

a birth cerificate with a raised seal, not a copy is all you need for an infant.
You will need a passport to get back into the US from Canada though so don't forget yours!
