I read a book years ago about a Canadian banker who had a gambling problem and to support his habit embezzled millions of dollars. He was wiring money from Canada to casinos in USA and they would send jets to fly him to the casinos. Anyone know the title of this book?

Today is November 13th and it's the Monday after Rememberance Day. There is an office building across from my condo, and it seems as if the parking lot is empty. Will stores, government offices and libraries be closed for today too?

If the Surefire L72 visible red laser is somehow illegal in your country? I have a customer there that would like to purchase one, but he was told that they might be illegal there. Does anyone know if this is true?
I can't see how it would be. They are nothing more than a simple laser. The same kind of lasers that are used as pointers all the time.
I was just hoping someone could varrify.
Thanks for your help

the visit visa to canada is an absolute business for the embassy which is their bread and butter.the ****** officer sits inside (who knows if there exist any) and gives out your a page ticked with a reason why ur denied.under their reasons falls 1.act 179, 2.legitimate reason to visit canada (do anyone know what ****** legitimate reasons means??)no matter what u fill and give there is a reason to tick in that sick *** paper!here is the perfect match for a visit visa to canada..

your working in a MNC with your pay higher than what u can get it canada for the same profession.

your bank statement reflect the "high" pay everymonth and which shows you have unspent money which sums to 20,000$

and your legitimate reason...do not provide invitation from friends and relatives becoz ,visiting them is not a legitimate reason..(for white skinned visiting a friend on the internet is well legitimate, void for others)

if you arent of this class, better spend the fee money on a drink&N'joy!!

I am wanting to visit Canada sometime next year, possibly for a week during spring break. However, I may end up moving there instead of simply visiting. I was told that depending on the length of my visit, I don't need a passport. How does that work and how do I go about getting a passport?

I am an American married to a Canadian. We currently are living in the U.S. and got married about 7 months ago. I kept my last name and hyphenated my husband's last name on to mine. I already went downtown and changed my name on my social security card however the thing is I am moving to his hometown of Toronto (and unexpectedly) this month but did not get a chance to change (or add) my new last name on passport.

My question is, will that affect my flight from Honolulu to Toronto? Will I get questioned at the airport? I was thinking of simply changing my name when I got to Canada. Do you think airport security will pick up on my hyphenated last name. Should I just get my ticket and put my un-hyphenated last name on there so it matches my passport for now?
