Good for you - Canada is a great country - I came here 29 years ago and love it here. We have a good standard of living and I have always found Canadians to be friendly people.
I guess a lot would depend upon where you are coming from, but in general you would have to apply to emigrate here and hopefully become successful, but that would depend upon your level of education, your familiarity with one of the two official languages (French & English) and how financially stable you are.
If you have relatives here, that would be a good place to start to ask questions. Also, if you have never been to Canada, plan a holiday and stay for a few weeks if you possibly can.
If you want to email me, I will try to answer your questions and give you any information I can.
Good Luck!

Everything depends on where in Canada you want to go. Most place's depending on the time of year, warm clothes in the winter and shorts in the summer. In Ontario it costs about $500.00 a month for a apartment and gives you a 1/2 decent place. Jobs are available of course, depending what you want to do. It cost about $3.47 for a 4 litre bag of 2% milk, a 24 case of beer is about $35.00. So hope this narrows down a few questions. There are million more question and a million more answers, but this will get you started. I love Canada, and i have travelled, 7 countries in Europe, Mexico, Florida and others. Love other places but Canada is my Fav.

Well, you need to find a place, then get a job!!! I assume you saved up already so rent a room in a city first. Also, where do you want to live in Canada?? Find a city first then act from there.
I have the same dream as you but a different place. I want to move to Hong Kong. Right now I am in Canada and I am sick of it.

Well you'll need to do some research. It might be also a good idea, depending on where you're from, to get a work or travel visa, so you can come and work/travel in Canada for awhile to see if you'd like it. There are many ways to become involved in the Canadian society. The best place to begin is looking at this site below,

at the start, I in all possibility would not talk approximately something i did not understand ~ kinda such as you speaking approximately what it potential to be a liberal. Secondly, i admire my united states. once I see somebody (i.e. the Bush administration) pissing on the form, I talk out and defend my united states. i don't run away. i actually did not prefer to talk you factor with the help of factor, through fact you are able to not use good judgment with people who merely make up their own data, yet.... -Libs do not want a "vast redistribution of wealth". you realize who does? George Bush. he's almost taking money out of the middle class and giving to the coolest a million %. in certainty that the middle class is shrinking, and the hollow between the wealthy and destructive is getting larger. that is our difficulty. prefer to experiance a rustic with the difficulty of having tremendously much no center class? Why do not you progression to Mexico then. -Libs do not want a susceptible militia. that is merely assumed through fact Reps want a loopy quantity of militia spending, the Libs might desire to wish none. not authentic. -gay marriage ~ in my opinion, no, i would not have a difficulty with gay marriage. i think of the government could stay out of human beings's own lives. i thought cons used to wish that too? -third trimester abortions - i don't understand absolutely everyone who helps that, and it tremendously much on no account occurs ~ except the mummy's existence is in threat. -comparing libs to Nazi's. Very logical... i did not comprehend Nazi's have been environmentalists... -i think of pot could be legal for scientific applications. i assume it style of feels logical to you that medical doctors can use morphine - arguably the main addictive drug in the international - for soreness, yet pot's not ok...even even with the undeniable fact that that is truthfully not addictive...

If you are a student try the SWAP program and see if you can come and check it out. Go to travel cuts and get information. You can also go to the Canadian embassy for information.
