I know that the government wants people to start getting passports to travel to canada..but has been passed for those traveling by land yet. They say it may not be a requirement until 2009 until the passport cards are made. Can I still travel into canada without a passport?

I hear sometimes that you do, or that you dont. I've also heard that to get into Canada, you dont need one, but to re-enter the US you do.

Ok. I know that to cross into Canada, a birth certificate and ID is necessary. But what if you don't have the birth certificate and you try to cross over? What will happen if 1 person does and the other doesnt?

Come the fall, september or october, i am going to be moving somewheres. Currently i am living in alberta and soon quebec, before moving to Nova scotia for a stint. After all of this i want a place i can move to and stay in for a few years. A place where i can get a good job, no oil or call center crap, and have lots to do. I love city life, and want to live in a city but i dont know which one! What city in Canada is the best place to move to in your opinion and why? Right now i am thinking Saskatoon, but what else is out there?!

The cheapest I can find is 1281.00. Tried to use my points but there are no points seats available until May. All I would like to do is go up to see the northern lights and drop some stuff off at the women's shelter. Any ideas how to get a better price for a flight?

I am a Canadian citizen, resident of the US. I had to get a new passport unfortunately at the same time as everyone else suddenly needing one. My application is delayed beyond my planned trip to Canada for work. Can I go to Canada without my passport then have it sent to me while I am there so I can reenter the US? I have a drivers licence and nothing else (my birth certificate is with my passport application).

I'm an American living in Canada at the moment, and I've noticed some Canadians believe their country is weird. This is something I wouldn't have expected before I left the United States. Do some Canadians believe this because Canada has a hard time defining itself culturally?

I am Canadian and I have decided to be a non-residence. What should I give up apart from my ID, health care, driving license and address?
