I was under the impression that as of 2007 you always had to have a passport to leave the US, I've been told that you need a passport to fly into Canada but not to drive and that you will definitely need a passport for both in 2008, I have been told many different things on this subject so any help will be appreciated--LM

Is a driver's license sufficient identification, along with a social security card, or do you need a birth certificate, certified or otherwise, to establish your American citizenship? Also, I have heard there are supposed to be new fees due to take effect this year for crossing the border ( I heard $50.00 U.S. each time). Also, I have been told that if you have any kind of criminal record, especially domestic violence or some violent crime, they won't let you into Canada. Does anyone know regulations on this?

I am looking for information on Pine Island in Saskatchewan Canada. I need to know because my uncle is doing something in a committee. They are trying to take it down and flood it, but I want to know some things about it. I want to know
A- Is it a historical site
B- If they plan to destroy it, is there going to be a dam there, and what will it be used for.

Oh, and if you know something about this feel free to give me some information.

Canadians: What can be done about how Canadian customs authorities are allowed to unjustly charge money, restrict, and impede American Blacks mobility at the U.S./Canadian border based on inaccurate and expired feloniously biased data delivered to them by seemingly like-minded American authorities?

This is an ever-growing problem on a very short fuse leading to international civil unrest in my opinion. What an excellent pre-staged avenue for alledged terrorist to both aide and abet!!

How do I go about this? I know the CIC website so dont bother answering if that's your response. I understand that US citizens and green card holders can apply at the boarder upon entry. Can we also visit Canada, search for a job while there then apply for a work permit from within canada? if so how long does it take?

I've been to Wallmart, Wallgreens, the PO, the civic center, camera shops, AAA and mail centers and no one will provide a canadian picture because of the "Photo Taken (and date) stamp they require. Do I have to go to LA or SD to one of the consulates? I'm at a loss.

...but mice are getting under the hood. They take bird seed and hide it at my air filter. There are also lots of droppings on my battery.
Also..aside from the fact that this is disgusting... are there any health concerns? (I think they are field mice... Hunta virus?)
