I live in the GTA and have been out west and loved it. Is it ignorance to Toronto or jealousy kind of thing. Seriously, because Torontonians do not normally consider Toronto the centre of the world, which I get as the typical stereotype, it just has the largest population in Canada thus getting the most media and investment because of its size. I would like to hear west coasters view on Toronto, but all corners of canada welcome.

a good friend of mine is terminally ill and I really want to get down to Boston to see her really soon (within the next month, she's not doing well).
I am a Canadian citizen, lived in Ontario all my life. I will be travelling by myself. I have my social insurance card, birth certificate, photo health card for ID.
My question is, how do I get a passport QUICKLY? And are there any extra fees associated with a rushed passport?
Can you tell me how to go about doing this?

Thanks

I've been reading the various "Moving to Canada" questions that people have asked, but none of them really have a definitive answer.

I understand the whole "points system" Canada requires to migrate there. However, I've seen quite a few people recommend going up there on "vacation" for a week or so and applying and interviewing for jobs, and on the contingency of a job offer move up there. Is this actually possible? Can the points system be bipassed simply with this alone? I've gone to the migration website, and my fiancee and I don't quite make the points system. We'd like to permanently relocate to the Great White North. If this isn't possible, what are our other options?

I appreciate your helps. Thanks!

My sister's bf was arrested 5+ years ago. He now has a record (though he only had to do community service, no prison time). I'm not sure what the actual crime was considered (felony, misdemeanor etc.). The family wants to take his son to Canada for his birthday, but we're not sure if the bf can go. Is there a number I can call, or website I can visit to find out? Please help, we live an hour from the border and love visiting as a family! Thank you!

Unfortunately many canadians have threatened me and called me names and insulted me, but i have yet to fire back for i will not stoop to your level....i am repeatedly told how wonderful canada is ( i have been there and beg to differ)
yet one stat is puzzling me...If canada is great and wonderful and canadians love it there so much.....why does canada have such a high suicide rate? much higher than the American rate......now by no means am i trivializing suicide nor am i looking to get a rise out of anybody....to be honest suicide is not something anyone should laugh at and i hope this number declines in both countries....but why is it so high in canada?

Haha, okay I am playing the U.S. is a great country, I visit it at least once a year, usually to Cali; and yeah I notice alot of hispanics, which is cool, cause I think latino girls are sexy. But wouldn't ever consider moving to the U.S., nor can I think of too many Canadians who would.
