I've been reading the various "Moving to Canada" questions that people have asked, but none of them really have a definitive answer.

I understand the whole "points system" Canada requires to migrate there. However, I've seen quite a few people recommend going up there on "vacation" for a week or so and applying and interviewing for jobs, and on the contingency of a job offer move up there. Is this actually possible? Can the points system be bipassed simply with this alone? I've gone to the migration website, and my fiancee and I don't quite make the points system. We'd like to permanently relocate to the Great White North. If this isn't possible, what are our other options?

I appreciate your helps. Thanks!

You will still need to go through the points system. With a job offer, the only thing you will not require is proof of funds to reside in Canada for at least 6 months. The job offer eliminates the need for this financial guarantee.

The points system basically rates your admissibility into Canada based on your age, education, marital status, and job experience. You will have to have at least 70 points to qualify as a skilled worker.

Having a pre-arranged employment offer is listed in the point test on the CIC website. It is worth up to 10 points, so it would help towards getting the needed 67 points.

Also, take note of the quote below, from the CIC website:

"If your mark is lower than the pass mark, you might not qualify to immigrate as a skilled worker at this time.

However, if you believe there are other factors that would help you to become economically established in Canada, you may still apply.

Send a detailed letter with your application explaining what these factors are and why they may help you successfully establish yourself in Canada."

So, look at the test again, and see if having a pre-arranged job would help your case.

In direct answer to your question, no, you cannot just bypass the point system.

i don't think of you're loopy. I in uncomplicated terms think of you're a troll. Canadian agencies do not make interest delivers to babies to forward to their mothers and fathers; ineffective terrorists will in no way be coming to kill you; and Canada won't supply well-being centers (which incorporate psychological well-being scientific care) to human beings interior the country on artwork facilitates.

Other possiblity is for you and your fiancee to apply for a caregiver/nanny job.... if she can find an employer... I believe it takes about a year to proces, 2 years to become permanent resident. Applying for a caregiver/nanny job has its opwn rules, quite differ from skilled worker..... easier and quicker as long as you can find an employer who wants you to be their love ones caregiver..... it's also possible to contact an employment agency in Canada that deals with Caregiving job.
