You will have to re-take both a written and road test as well as have an air brake endorsement, that is if your Class 1 is the same as here, semi, if you are talking about an ordinary license for driving a car, I do believe you will only have to take the written test. hi there, i am in the process of doing the very same thing as you. yes you will have to take the Canadian equivalent of our hgv class one. check out a company called Canadian Horizons, www.cdnhorizons.com They act almost like an employment agency without trying to rip you of like some other companies.
