I am wanting to take a vacation there, and I was wondering which places would be the most recommended. Also since our seasons are reversed (I'm from the U.S) is it better to come during your spring or summer (our fall or winter)? And I've always heard Australian people are very friendly, is that true? I'm from Texas and I also wondered what your perception of us is? Sorry I know that's a lot of questions in one!

I'm an Indian American and I thought it would be a good idea to chat on yahoo with Aussies in the Australian chat room since I do not know anyone, it would be nice to know someone. But people are so rude.

What is it going to be like in Brisbane? Are Indians welcome there? How will i be treated? I'm getting nervous.

How difficult is it for 2 people in their mid-twenties to move from the US to Australia? My gf is looking to teach there, so I don't think she would have much problem finding a job there and being able to move. I, however, have been in the finance industry for 3 years and would be looking to do the same. Since my job isn't in high demand, am I going to find it difficult to 1) be able to move there and 2) find a decent job if I am able to get in?
