If you mean by ship and via the Panama canal it takes fives weeks give or take a day or two

12 weeks and that is just one way.I only get 4 weeks holiday a year,so i think i will be flying.sorry i misunderstood that is by bus,it was in the paper today.Don't know about boat

That depends entirely on where you are starting from and what sort of boat you are using.

David B hasent said where he is departing from, so from N.Z it would take a day, but from UK maybe 4 weeks!!
Maybe you should go by ship, be a lot safer.
