Polynesia is an area of the Pacific ocean that contains many islands, in fact "polynesia" means "many islands". Polynesia extends from New Zealand to Hawaii to Tahiti and Easter Island. it is a big area. There is, to my knowledge, no specific island called "polynesia". There is a group of islands known as French Polynesia which includes Tahiti but that is about as close as you will get.
