all ski fields have lessons that you can book into, they are available for people of all ages and abilities, including those who have never set foot on the snow before.

You'll need balance, determination, and no sense of embarrassment if you've never been skiing before. Usually it takes a full day or two before you start getting the hang of it and having fun. Until then, you'll spend a lot of time falling and cursing. People who say they hate skiing usually had a bad experience on their first couple of ski trips. People who keep at it usually end up loving it.

Take lessons. Fall over. Get up. Fall over. Get up. Fall over. Get up. Decide to listen to the instructor. It works!
Don't sacrifice comfort for fashion. Make sure your boots are the right size and don't pinch your feet anywhere. Try on your boots when wearing two pairs of socks. Clomp around in them. Don't make a hasty decision and take the most comfortable boots whatever colour they are. The pink boots might not suit your butch image but don't worry about it. If they fit the best, take them.
