Hey guys,
My girlfriends and I will be driving to Byron from Brisbane. Is the Pacific Motorway the only way or are there coastal roads that we could take? Thanks!

Why is the New Zealand Dollar so important as it can trade against the USD. New Zealand is rugged terrain with shepherding and wool the primary economic income stream. Does it have anything to do with Australia being so close.

would it be a good idea for all us to stop using our cars in one day as protest against those greedy petrol companies for high jacking the prices of petrol.i would like to see that one day we wont see any cars on the road to show those greedy petrol companies that we will be no longer be taken for a ride for the high prices of petrol and i rather lose a day pay but they will lose more because in one day no one will be going to fill up their tanks.

Hi, I am American and typing a report. Does it make sense to make a general comment like "from the streets of california to the outback of australia, he has performed". Or is outback a town? If it's strictly a town and not a general description of australia, then I don't want to include it. Please let me know how to say this properly or a better way to describe the country. It's getting really late and I need to get some rest but I have to finish this first. THANKS SO MUCH!

Ok, when I was backpacking around Europe I saw all the New Zealanders wearing these cool necklaces. There was like a big white carved looking fishhook dangling from a necklace. Anyone know what is called? If it helps, I think Jeff Probst wears one on Survivor.

I am a Brit soon to be heading to Australia for a year. I will be signing up for "Medicare" as soon as I arrive. Shall I get more travel insurance? I only have a bag of old clothes which don't need insuring-if hospital treatment is covered on medicare than surely I don't need more. I don't have any insurance in the UK. I will be working. Any advice would be appreciated, cheers.
