I'm relocating from Dubai to Australia, I'm shipping all my household goods. I'm worried about my electrical goods, they are 220 voltage. Does that comply with aussie sandards? They also do not have the same style of plug as australia. Does that mean the plugs on my appliances will have to be changed at the port by an electrician? What about fridges? What are the requirements? My fridge is an LG and it's 100% CFC free. I hear Australia is strict abour fridges what kind of fridge must it be? Is my fridge alright to bring over?

I was originally going to study abroad in australia, but then i thought- why not go when i don't have to study!? so now its nearing that time and i want to go travel in australia for a couple weeks--> couple months. I don't want to be on my own, so I was wondering if there are any organized travel tours for newly graduated people, or others in their young 20's?

I have read your concerns, most people seem to think I am planning to travel the shortest route. Ken E I want to thank you for your concern, as well as the other Australians out there. I plan to travel the coastal roads, even though it may be longer. Also, try to avoid the bush country, and do most of my bicycling early in the morning between 5 to 10am to avoid traffic, especially trucks. I think it will take me 6 months to a year to plan out this whole trip. Also, if I can make e-mail contacts between now and then, with you friendly Australians I may get some ideas on how to do it as easily and safely as possible. Again thank you, all you nice folks down under from Dennis in Canada.
