My busmate borrowed a book entitled Haunted PhiLippines. These ghost stories occured in our home, the PhiLippines. Yet a few look real & scary.

One of the stories tells 2 girls and their mother visiting their Lola's [Filipino for "grandmother"] grave during All Soul's Day. The 2 girls started pLaying near their Lola's grave when they accidentally bumped a little girl. They apologized to the girl. The little girl said "ok lang yun, accident lang yun eh" (It's ok. It's only an accident). The little girl says that her place was very "easy to find", somewhere near a soda vendor. They then started playing with the little girl. Later, the little girl said "nauuhaw ako. kukuha lang ako ng softdrink" [I'm thirsty, I'll get a softdrink]. But the little girl never came back. The 2 girls tried to find her. The girls happened to find a small tomb near the soda vendor. A picture of the little girl stood next to the grave.

Do u people think this (and other ghost stories) seems scary & reaL?

I know it had something to do with a war between Japan and Spain, but I need more information than that. Why the Spanish last names - anyone? They didn't teach us World History in Highschool.

Between the ages of 60 - 70 a woman is like Jolo. With a glorious and all conquering past but alas no future.

After 70, they become Tondo. Everyone knows where it is, but no one wants to go there.

I will be traveling to Philippines on January..

Can I bring my laptop, cellphone, Ipod, or Portable DVD player with me as a handcarry?

I just heard in the recent that they have tightened the security that you cannot even bring water to the plane..

Whoa!! What else do they want us to do? Be naked in the flight, or wear some kind a suit that they provide for security purpose.

Please let me know.. I don't want my Electronic device to be confiscated and be put in for check in baggage.

Alse please let me know what or not to bring on my handcarry luggage..

Any Experience?

Between the ages of 35 - 40 a woman is like Manila. She may have been half destroyed during the war but can still be a warm and desirable place to visit.

Between the ages of 40 - 50 she is like Basilan. She lost the war and is haunted by past mistakes. Massive reconstruction is now necessary.

Between the ages of 50 - 60 she is like Mountain Province. Very wide, quiet and the borders are practically unpatrolled but the frigid climate keeps people away.
