Well, Philippines has alot of nice scenaries to visit from up north to down south.
North side:
- Baguio (cold cool climate, strawberries, trees, some churches, silver jewelry shops, horses, lakes)
- 100 Islands(swimming nice scenaries)
- Bataan/Zambales/Clark(Pampanga) - this places are good for swimming, sight seeing, golf)
- Tarlac/Rice Terrace(man-made that is)-this is near Baguio
Manila near:
- Malls
- Bars(night life)
South side:
- Tagaytay (just like Baguio, its cool climate with alot of nice scenaries like the TAAL volcano-smallest volcano in the world)
- Laguna (are alot of resort with hot springs--good to swim in and relax, Mt. Makiling--one of the enchanted mountains of the Philippines, there's the Enchanted Kingdom--its not like Disney Land but it has the feel to it..LoL.)
- Puerto Galleria (nice night life soires, swimming, snorkling, jetskiing, any water sport you can think off)
- Panay Islands(Boracay/Aklan/Iloilo)-there are alot of fiesta to attend to---Boracay--is also like Puerto Galleria
- Bacolod (nice scenaries)
-Cebu (there are so many things to do there...I can't enumurate all of it.. but Cebu itself has alot of things to do, go to, see etc.
- Palawan or Puerto Princesa (aayyy... just like paradise)
- Bohol (Chocolate mountains)
- Bicol (I also forgot about Mt. Mayon--the perfect cone for a volcano)
- Davao ( nice place too)
These are just some of the things I can think of to do or go to in the Philippines.
Philippines has so many beautiful places to visit and explore. I have only been to half of the places I have mentioned but I have seen it through pictures of other friends who has gone to these places and it is so beautiful and magestic.
Hope you take time to visit and explore Philippines.

I came to the Philippines the first time in '97. (I'm American) I fell in love with the country and culture. I kept coming back twice a year until 2003, when I failed to return to the US. It is a whole different world here, like disneyland for grownups. There are thousands of beautiful smiling girls everywhere. Beer is cheaper than water. It is warm all the time. A meal for 4 at an upscale restaurant costs less than $20. There is beautiful and strange things to see everywhere. Just walking down the street can turn into an adventure. There is diving, motorcycle riding, hiking, swimming, and every day is a holiday. Get on the plane, it's a different world here.

5. Where every street has a basketball court and every town only has one public school.
6. Where all kinds of animals are edible.
7. Where students pay more money than they will earn afterwards.
8. Where call-center employees earn more money than teachers and nurses, where doctors study to become nurses for employment abroad.
9. Where driving 4 kms can take as much as four hours.
10. Where the tourist spots are where Filipinos do not (or cannot) go.

19. Where water can only be classified as tap and dirty - clean water is for sale (35 pesos per gallon).
20. Where the church governs the people (owwss!!!) and where the government makes the people pray for miracles. (Amen to that!)
21. Where traffic signs are merely suggestions, not regulations.
22. Where the fighter planes of the 1940s are used for military
engagements, and the new fighter planes are displayed in museums.
23.Where cigarettes and alcohol are a necessity, and where the lottery is a commodity.
24. Where soap operas tell the realities of life and where the news provides the drama.
25. Where actors make the rules and where politicians provide the entertainment.

and finally......
Where everyone wants to leave the country!

I've lived here 14 years and can't think of a safer, more beautiful country.
Very frustrating trying to do anything, and the locals think they know what they're doing but have no idea.
Where evryone has a smile, whether peasant or prince.
Where every morning you wake up knowing that nothing will be the same as the day before.
Every day will give you a few problems, but will give you more laughs, beauty and adventures.
I couldn't leave here and exist in the real world, or is this the real one, again.

yes i have been there, the malls are the best in the world. the weather is wonderul if your comming from anywhere north America. everything is less expensive by alot. its pretty easy to get around but please meet up with someone you trust or meet online, they can do all the navigating for you so you can just relax. smile alot there the people enjoy it and you will too. its a wonderful place. i only got to stay there 2 weeks in may/june, but they were 2 of the best weeks of my life. if your light skinned or american looking try going to a less crowded province or island. the children will love to see you and even many of the elder people. the children called me joe, or kano. the water is the best i dont even know how to swim but its so inviting. i will learn to swim when i return cause the water is so nice. i just don't know what else to say except its the best relaxing place on earth. a side note. it is a 3rd world country. very many people living in poverty. bring your heart and give some cash to the children. they will appreciate it and your simple few dollars will go a long way for them. wanna really feel nice give a poor person/child/family about 50-100 dollars worth of pesos, in small bills also. that will provde for them a while or help them with basic school supplies.

I've been there for many times in 8 years! Philippines is a very nice country! You can find the good foods, good music, good places and the good filipino friends there! Maybe, you can try to visit Taal Volcano, Baquio, Tagaytay and Banaue! Anyway, I think that anywhere in the world has the good thing and the bed things, so just take care of yourself all the time, and you will find how wonderful of the world!! Have a nice trip!!
