Right now, there's a heavy rain & flood throughout Manila & other provinces. It's not good to be going to Boracay at this season. It's rainy season there. But if you're still goin, I would say be careful with Pick Pocketers & New Modus Operandi's. It's hard to trust people nowadays. Be careful & keep your belongings with you at all times.

Typhoons often occur on October. The last quarter of the year is wet season. Just be attentive to your luggage. Enjoy your vacation in such a wonderful place! To some, Boracay is unforgetable.

Although I have not been there, I am sure you will love the place. But pray that the typhoon will not change its route for you to enjoy your stay there :) Also, be sure to bring not only sun bloc but also mosquito repellent. Keep watchful eyes on your personal belongings.
Again, hope you will enjoy your stay there in Boracay. Ingat (Take care).

It is best to go to Boracay in the summer season. After Milenyo, I think I will think well before going there this weekend.

it's ok to go there at this time, even if its raining here in manila, boracay is not much affected. storms or typhoons seldom go there.. its a great time to go there coz there are only a few local tourists not unlike the summer months.. enjoy ur trip!!

Why go there, it's the most touristy, bullshit, rip-off, ugly place in the whole country. I've got friends with businesses there but there are so many more beautiful places to visit, with many more hotels which welcome you as an individual, and not just as a tourist ready to be taken.
The trouble with tourism is that it attracts assholes from all over the country, whichever country that may be, and the local population, who are the most hospitable, are forced into a smelly backwater by money hungry developers.
Sorry to be negative. Please visit Calypso divers for diving, and the most wonderful Portuguese restaurant outside Macau and Portugal is 100 mtrs south of the tourist centre and called 'Banza'
well worth a visit.
Otherwise, check out Bohol, ******, Camiguin, Puerto Galera or Busuanga for different places to visit. They all have so much more to offer. Try this place in Busuanga, N. Palawan if you have a few bucks, it's probably the best place I've ever been in country, and I've been there more times than I can count!

You should be overly concerned about paying high prices in a crappy trendy place.

The country is beautiful and safe! There are many nice places to go!
