Wowowee is so alive!!! The set is so welcoming, unlike Eat Bulaga's set, so oldish... And oh, wowowee does help many Filipinos, domestically and internationally...

I like the humor of Eat Bulaga and the care of Wowowee for the masses. Both shows the true state of the Philippines. Simple, free-flowing and funny.
Shows in the US are fake and too commercialize.

Eat Bulaga is already an institution in Philippine television, and as much as Wowowee (and host Willie Revillame) shows its good intention of helping poor Filipinos, it will always play second fiddle to the formidable trio of Tito, Vic and Joey, plus the whole EB gang they helped discover and develop.
But I think both shows should stop all the bickering about which show is the best. They should just concentrate on giving the best entertainment they could possibly dish out, come up with well-thought of production numbers and contests, while providing public service as well to the less fortunate masses which lovingly patronize them.

In most cases, Wowowee caters to its audience at the dome while Eat Bulaga caters to both the dome and audiences in their own houses. This happens because the former has more money to offer while the latter has humor.

Wowowee is on the lead. Because Willie Revillame is a down to earth person and wants to help the poor ones.

Whichever of those two programs lead in ratings is irrelevant.
They're just entertainment shows with no real social or redeeming value. It's just a placebo to mask the true state of the filipino economy.
Yeah, they give money and prizes away but that only shows how desperate most filipinos are to achieve a better life which this current government (even the governments from 1986 to this day) have failed to deliver.
Sad but true.
