hi i want to know where is the place to live in asia. i want to live in a place where it is nice and surreal and still keeps up with the asian culture. So what would be a good place, South Korea, Japan, or China?

I'm heading to Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam/Laos in a few months for a few months and was wondering, if you've been there before, what were some of your highlights. If you know someone who have been, what did they tell you was amazing? I haven't booked anything yet, and am willing to travel to the ends of these countries if it's worth it. I'm a Hotel Management college student and I'm supposed to have a five-month internship in the South East Asian region. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to begin. I've thought of Maldives, Singapore and Malaysian Borneo but I don't really know how the situation is there. Could somebody please give me info on those areas or suggest another place.
