Japan has so many different kinds of folktales (fun, scary, strange, romantic, etc), I'm just curious to know what specific story you like the best and why?

first - i say Asian, cause i am not sure where they are from.
second - i realize that it is obviously out of courtesy.. like when i see they are chewing..

but why do they cover their mouth when they laugh?
is it part of the culture to not see in your mouth or teeth or something?

i respect their culture to the highest degree, i am just unsure of this behavior and am a bit curious.
thanks for any & all legitimate, intelligent answers

Am going to apply through the bigger ones, like Nova, AEON and Geos. Anyone have any other suggestions on companies that provide schemes? Or maybe any tips in general.

Thank you in advance.

Per capita, I think Japan has more bicycle riders than the USA & possibly other countries. I've been living here for a while and I've noticed that a great many riders don't signal with their bells. Why is that? Also, has anyone else noticed this?

Though many of Japan's castles no longer exist, there are still
several around. Castles range from the elegant Himeji castle, to
the smaller castle of Inuyama, to the reconstructed castle of
Osaka, etc. Which castle do you think is best?

For my Japanese class we are supposed to find two interesting articles and pose a question for our classmates for them to form an opinion on.
The more replies we get, the more extra credit points! and i'm so close to an A...
So if you've read anything interesting or have site for me to go to, please share! I'm looking as of now, but no great finds.

Here are some sites I'm currently looking over for options:

http://www.japantoday.com/
