I am going to Tokyo, Tome, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima, and Yanagawa. So far, I want to go to Harajuku, Puroland (Sanrio themepark in Tokyo), and... thats about it! Can you tell me some things I should do? (foods to try, places to go, shopping districts, ect.) I don't need to much to do for Nara and Hiroshima, because my school is doing a big planned tour for that, but I need to find some interesting things to ask my homestays to take me to in Tokyo, Yanagawa, and Tome. (Tome is a fairly small town, its in the country, and I doubt you'll find interesting things to do there, hahaha.)

I'm from England, and I'm in my Gap Year. I have 5 months to see the world. I've already done all of Europe, and most of the USA. I've been enthralled with Martial Arts my entire life, but want to take it one step further and practise them in their origin. I've considered Thailand and China, but I would really prefer Japan.

Is there any way to intensively study martial arts in Japan as a foreigner that speaks little Japanese? Preferably in an affordable way?

i wanna learn japanese so i bought some stuff to help me learn and checked out some sites about grammar..

sometimes there are words that i can't find in my dictionary..
so kinda regret buying this version, since i was thinking "buy the cheapest, they're basically thesame anyway"... turns out it lacks some words!

so now, i'm kinda hoping that there's a japanese-english dictionary in the internet...
