I am thinking of going to Hokkaido but it seems like there is no cheap direct flight from SG to Hokkaido? I've looked up Zuji and the airfare are around $3600. Is there an cheaper or easier way to get to Hokkaido?

It'll be chepest if you go through Narita (Tokyo) or Kansai (Osaka). Contact a travel agent for the best prices. That sounds very expensive to me.

Does China Airlines fly out of SG? If so, you ought to be able to get a cheaper flight to Narita (Tokyo Int'l Airport) Then from there you could take a boat to Hokkaido. I hope that you know something about the weather in Hokkaido before you go there. Actually, the only warm month there is August. All other times the weather is either rather chilly or cold. Very heavy snow from late autumn until perhaps May.

You may want to try contacting Creative Tours (Singapore) Pte.Ltd., a subsidiary of JALPAK Co.Ltd., Japan (JAL). They handle ticketing for JAL, ANA, SIA and Northwest flights to Japan so they may be able to arrange an internal flight for you. This is the website:

Check out the airfares page, JAL return flights are going quite low.

Yes, u can get the milk at meidi-ya, a japanese supermarket. Nice location and atmosphere for a supermarket, u can get your freshly made milk straight from Hokkaido. Nice.

It's probably going to be cheapest if you go through Kansai or Narita and then on to Sapporo. There are flights that go directly from Narita to Sapporo, but Kansai would probably be more convient as it has no curfew.
