Say you know the japanese lingo mildly well, and you live in america, hoping to live in japan. How do you get a ob there, how do you get a house, do you do it ahead of time or sleep on the street untill you find a place to live as well as a place to work. But more questions ahead, such as do you need to have a document to work in another country as well as live there and where do you get one???

I live in the UK and this will be my first trip to Tokyo/Japan. Actually it's the furthest I've ever been. I love the Japanese culture and I am a huge fan of the toys, games, gadgets and obscure stuff. I am also a Goth, so clubbing suggestions welcome. Also this is a fact finding trip as both my husband and I intend to apply to teach English in Japan and stay there for a year. Can anyone suggest offices I should go to and/or schools to check out. I would like to put my mind at ease during my 10 day holiday as to the possibility of living and working in Japan. Any general advice is welcome! (oh and does anyone know how far away Japan is from the UK?)

I need a place that's at least decently close to Shinjuku and Shibuya, but that's still quiet and safe, but not too too small. Thanks.

I love Asians, Japan, Japanese culture, etc. I am teaching myself the language and this would be very useful to me. Please help. I thank you in advance.
A few that I would like are (though I do want more):
I love you with all of my heart.

Do you think he likes me?

I was to shy to tell him how I felt.

I would also like a few more. In the future I will be making similar posts I just will need different phrases.
