f the time in Pacific DT is 9:30 AM on Sunday, 1/21/2007, the corresponding time in Tokyo is 2:30 AM on Monday, 1/22/2007.

well that depends on the time of year. Japan does not recongize day light savings time....so in the summer when it is 9:30 am for you on say Sunday it is 11:30pm sunday night in Japan....BUT IN WINTER....9:30 am sunday for you would be 1030pm sunday in Japan.
