Been living in Hong Kong for a couple of months now and what strikes me here is that almost no one smile. Only kids smile, adults show no emotion on their face or look plain sad. Why such a change? Would love to hear from people who been living in hk all their life to know what's the hell is wrong with you guys! ;)

It was my girlfriend in Philippines birthday today and as i have only known her a little while and found this around a week it was her birthday could not send her a birthday present in time.I thought to myself today should i send her a little money for it but if i do would she expect it alll the time.She is not working just finished a nursing course plus her family are poor thats why i ask.I told her i would send her an extra present for Christmas though.She never asks me for money by the way.I am trying to save up to meet her in CDO in April.I am from England.

i was carrying bags so i forgot my handbag in the entrance hall of my house building. then one of my kind neighbors came and return it to me but the wallet wasnt inside .. i let my husband secertay talk to the security coz they use cameras but they refused to give us information unless to talk to the police first .. my japanese is little .. would the police help me ?? .. is there any chance i can get it back !!! .. one i lost my mobile in tokyo disney land then they returned it to me after one week .. but what about wallet???!!!! :(

also, why are the portion sizes so small? When I went to McDonalds there, I asked for a regual coke and regual fries, instead it turned out to be a kiddie size coke and a kiddie size fries. In the states, the portion size so much bigger.

Hi guys. Would greatly need your help in this. I would like to get stuff from japan(toys, magizines etc). I do not have a japan bank account and it greatly restricts the websites that I can buy from. Does anyone know of any payment service where the person will be able to help me pay for my items?

Another way would be to get a local japan bank account in japan(shinsei/citibank) but I don't have an ARC so I can't open one.

Anyone have any advise? thanks

im in Bangkok for the last 20 days with my mother in the hospital and I cant leave her alone and go shopping, im going back to Dubai on the 27th and I didn't get to shop the way I like usually when I travel I visit all the shopping centers in the city im in...
