In Singapore. We have a major area where prostitution is legal. Which is called geylang. The legal ones are those where the prostitutes are given a card(licensed by the government and they go for a mandatory health checkup every 3 months.) Those that fail are sent back to their country.

There are illegal ones which operate on a freelance basis. These people will be fined or sent to jail if they are caught by the anti-vice department.

This is for Singapore.

I believe it is. I am pretty positive about Singapore. I believe I read a magazine article about the uproar about business going to Singapore and using their prostitutes. Malaysia though, I have not heard for sure.
