why is the indonesian government attacking acehnese people?? when they themselves are fighting for an independant islamic state???? do they want an independant islamic state for themsleves

I am travelling to Davao and then on to my fiancee's parents about 2 hours north of Davao. This is not the safest place in the world due to the Muslim extremists around here - in fact, officially speaking, the UK Home Office recommend against travel to the region.

We plan to pre-book a private taxi to drive us there and back.

Any tips or suggestions to have a safe trip? Many thanks.

Hi I'm going to Thailand Dec 06 & Im quite nervous, never been overseas before, meeting b/f in bankok, traveling to Phuket, then going to Koh Phangan for NYE.

Is the full moon party safe?
I also have a stupid question... Is it ok to walk around in thongs (on my feet I mean) or is it dirty?
Is there any other way to get to Phuket from Bangkok other than airoplane?
Is there anything else I need to know?!

I am moving to Japan at the end of the year and I am debating weither or not I should ship my favorite vehicle. I'm allowed to ship one vehicle for free. In Japan are the steering wheels on the left (like in America) or right (like in Europe) side of the vehicle? Thanks so very much!

My girlfriend and I are travelling to Thailand in December / January. We only have 11 days, and after two days in Bangkok we were planning to head either to Angkor Wat or Chang Mai for ~3 days before heading to a beach (probably Krabi / Railay Bay). Does anyone have any thoughts on Angkor Wat vs. Chang Mai.
