Because i've lived here for about two years and always have to face the people staring at you , and also those words that i hate so much such as : shipalomma , or ke shekia or the usually used aiigu wegu saram eishhh, migug pavo etc . Purefoods Chunkee's miraculous recovery in the semifinals did not go for naught as the Giants came up with one big game Friday night to subdue the Red Bull Barakos, 90-83, and capture the Gran Matador Brandy PBA Philippine Cup title.

Displaying solid teamwork, determination and grit, Purefoods put Red Bull away with an 8-2 run in the fourth quarter to wrap the series up, 4-2.
It was the first championship for the Giants since 2002 and they did it with a cast of young players whom coach Ryan Gregorio assembled and painstakingly steered from the time he officially took over the reigns in 2003.

Kerby Raymundo, who took the mantle of leadership from Alvin
Patrimonio (now the team's manager), led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as he carried the fight for the Giants all night.

This is a triumph of the human spirit. When people said we can't do it, we proved them wrong. Impossible is nothing to us," said
Purefoods coach Ryan Gregorio.

This question is for Filipinos only please. I am a British male and I live in London with my wife(a filipina) and son. We have a Filipina friend staying with us. She had a Filipina friend visit from America and is doing a european tour. She asked to borrow the computer to look for cheap hotel locally for a few days. My wife was in work and I said to this Filipina not to bother with a hotel and she could stay at my house for a few days if she does not mind sleeping on our pull out sofa. Now my wife i am sure would not mind me offering but is it acceptable for a British male to offer a Filipina what I did or should I have waited for my wife to offer. I know some things like these can be culturally incorrect, Have I spoken out of turn. I must point our that my door is always open to Filipinos and a warm welcome.
