That depends on how long you made the booking in advance. In general, AirAsia is cheaper compare to MAS if you do your booking at least a week in advance... However, since the 'floor' pricing of MAS has been lifted by the government recently, you might as well expect a sharp drop of MAS fare. The flights to Langkawi runs 3 times daily.. The first one at 0830 hrs, 1045hrs and last one aound 1750hrs. Note that all these are in local time.

no. airasia is not very cheap if you don't book well in advance
(i.e. while cheap seats are remained).
if you just ask at the ticketing counter on the day of your travel
their fare may not be much different from MH.
