Plan to do a city tour on a coach, then followed with a river tour to see the city on a different angle. Bangkok is like an Asia-Venice, there are parts of the town that is served by boats on canals.

In the evening, have a nice Thai dinner and then do a traditional Thai couple massage. Do this a while after meal, not too soon. Then have a good rest.

If you want to do visit, plan to include the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha Temple, Vimanek Mansion, Wat Pho Reclining Buddha, Wat Arun Temple of Dawn.

If yo are doing shopping, the Grand Sale is ongoing till mid-August. and includes the major stores in the city. Good to visit Siam Paragon, Central Department in Chidlom, MBK Centre, Siam Square, E Emporium, Zen Mall, Gaysorn, Central World Plaza, Discovery Centre. These are all pretty modern.

If you are looking for bargains, over weekend the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a definite must. You will be amaze at the varieties of stuff available for sale.

However you need not wait till weekend if your itinerary does not fit it in. There are still other shops and markets in the vicinity to run through for bargains still. These are just next to the weekend market location or just across the road.

If you want cheap clothes, pay a visit to Pratunam wholesale centre. You get cheap clothes and even cheaper if you buy in many pieces. If you want better quality at factory price, nearby shopping buildings, hotel stores etc sell better quality stuff, you just need to walk around the place to find what interest you.

Evening shopping try the Suan lum Night Bazaar. It is the equivalent of the weekend market at night. A big complex to walk around too with numerous stores too.

What else do you want to do? Watch Tiffany show? Watch a Thai boxing event? Visit a Thai Cultural Dance performance? Elephant Show? Snake Show? Spa?

My favorite place in Bangkok is the Jim Thompson house. It's completely beautiful. I spend half a day there every time I go to Thailand.

Take your husband to Nana plaza any night after 7pm. There he'll see beautiful naked slim Thai women and he'll never bother you again.
