I travel the world buying precious stones and jewels for our brokerage firm.Last year I was flying to Shanghai once a month and I really miss my agent friend, she was always the highlight of my day and on one particular trip I surprised her with a string of South Seas Black Pearls, she in turn surprised me by upgrading me to first class, it was fabulous. From then on, on every trip I would bring her pearls and anytime she had a seat she would upgrade my husband and me. It was a good deal given that the pearls were worth only 5k or 6k and the seats were worth like 15k.

This was not done in any sneaky way or anything, I even brought the pearls back for her bosses from time to time and she only gave us seats that would have been empty anyway, so needless to say I sure would like to find my friend and start this deal over again.

My friends initials are H.J. and anyone who knows agents would know her.

Thanks for reading!

Jenn

If you were moving, and could only check 3 bags at the airport, what would you put in those 3 bags? What would you have shipped out to you first, and last?

I think it comes from the GPWS but i'm not sure.

And what does minimums mean?

Like if you were in the flight deck for a landing you would hear your altitude being said out in incriments of 100, so it would be like this:

500
400
300
200
100
50
40
30
20
10
minimums

retard
retard
retard
retard

what does minimums and retard mean?

I fly regularly between these two countries, and am always struck by the fact that in relatively low income Poland buses are always provided (even if the plane is only 100 meters from the terminal) and in Britain you often have to walk. The reason given in Poland is safety. Have there ever been walking to the terminal accidents, or is the UK playing with passengers lives?

I often see posts complaining about airline travel. Since deregulation in the industry and fierce competition to move people at bargain basement prices; the airlines have worked hard to survive. To do this they downsized, merged, added seats, cut extra services, and employees have also taken cuts in pay and benefits. A first class fare in most instances still get the royal treatment; but cabin class is most likely flying cheaper than bus or train fare. Given this, the flight attendants whom are really there for the safety of the passengers spend a great deal of time seeing to your comfort, waiting on passengers wanting cocktails and watching the kids for Mom and Dad who are so tired from getting everyone to the airport on time have decided to take a two hour nap. The flight crews are professional and do their best to get you to your destination speedily and comfortably all for $99 each way from NY to Disney World. So 1 to 5 stars what do you expect and what is 5 star service these day's?

I am trying to book a weekend away. The cheapest flights by far are to Trevisco airport and not Marco Polo.
Is it advisable to fly into Trevisco... how far is it from Venice itself, how long to travel, etc??

Just visit sites like easyjet and ryanair, flights are so affordable in Europe. While in North America, even short distances such as between New York & Washington is well over $100 each way.
